Gateway to India

This ticket is what you get to pick up your visa for India at the Indian Embassy. Looks more like a receipt from your local supermarket...But without this ticket, no chicken masala, gin-tonic, Goa, Bollywood,... So I just have to not lose it for 3 more hours.

Game's on

The journey starts right here, at the Institute of Tropical Medicine. 2 shots in the left arm and 2 in the right. After 3 injections I shouted "one hundred and eighty"!. The attending doctor clearly didn't know darts...

Anyway, I'm now Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis A & B and abdominal typhus proof. Only 3 billion other diseases to catch!

Google ad planner

I've been playing around a bit with Google Ad Planner today. Another great tool by Google.

I wonder if this will result in better online media plans? The ones I get to see from the media bureaus seem to be exact replicas of each other. Is there one big "mother of all media plans" (or MOAM) which you just copy paste? It certainly seems that way...

So if you're a marketeer (and I know you love numbers) check it out! Challenge your media bureau..

After a few brilliant campaigns such as subservient chicken, whopperettes, the x-box games and whopper freakout it seems like the colleagues at CPB possibly made a little slipper.

The idea sounds great on paper but this whopper leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth (pun intended). Do we really need hamburgers introduced to Eskimos? Has American imperialism not been under attack enough the last few decades?

Use the force

Nice overview on all the iPhone apps. In a few months there are 10.000 iPhone apps in the iTunes store. This shows the power of open source and also the changing environment for a brand or product. The public wants to be part of the process, they want to get involved. And that's a good thing! Why? Because they outnumber you and are probably much smarter than you (at least a few...).
